LJ Create to support and engage learners – Andrew Whiteley
In this session, Andrew will demonstrate how the LJ Create simulation software allows students to experiment and learn from virtual equipment and models, reducing materials costs, damage and personal risk. The software provides a visually engaging learning environment in which difficult concepts can be understood more effectively.

Virtual Software Solutions for Vocational Teaching – Shammi Mistry
In this session, Shammi will demonstrate, supported by case studies, how Skills2Learn’s virtual reality simulations and interactive advanced e-learning programmes can help to reduce the cost, and improve the effectiveness of teaching students on practical courses, such as engineering, electrical engineering and plumbing.

Use of e-portfolios in engineering – speaker to be confirmed
In this session, the presenter will demonstrate how an e-portfolio system is being used to support learners in a work-based learning engineering environment. The e-portfolio system offers a combination of off-line and on-line access to the portfolio.
