History of ALPSE
ALPSE (Association of Learning Providers in the South East) was founded in 2004 to replace an organisation called ATONSEE (Association of Training Organisation Networks of South East England). The founding principal is to act as a focus point for the providers in the South East England to discuss issues and raise actions that related to the whole region. Members of ALPSE are from each of the five south east provider networks: Association of Learning Providers for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (ALPHI) Association of Learning Providers for Surrey (ALPS) Kent Association of Training Organisations (KATO) Sussex Council of Training Providers (SCTP) Thames Valley Regional Network (TVRN) Each provider network is represented at ALPSE by up to three nominated members. External organisations have realised that this is a route to all the providers and ALPSE now attracts speakers to its meetings who are keen to spread their message across the whole South East.
