What support is available?
- Choose to focus on a number of national priorities that include:
- Establishing a strategic, whole organisation approach to your literacy, language and numeracy provision.
- Embedding literacy, language and numeracy skills development across your provision.
- Improving the quality and increasing the quantity of your numeracy offer.
- Being responsive to the New Approach to English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and to the needs of other priority groups.
- Building the capacity of your literacy, language and numeracy teacher and teacher training workforce.
- Initial, diagnostic and ongoing assessment.
- Developing flexible delivery models.
- Employability skills.
- Be supported in-house by an experienced practitioner / manager from a high performing provider in the South East region with expertise in your chosen priority areas.
- Work collaboratively with other local providers in peer working group meetings and receive a grant of £750 to help towards staff costs and travel.

Support activity will begin from September 2010. Places are limited to 37 providers. Your participation in the Support for Literacy, Language and Numeracy programme can be paid for by using funds allocated to your LSIS Account.
